Wednesday, June 17th  6-8:30 PM

Instructor : Val (aka: "The Sourdough Gal" ).
Curious about sourdough but not sure where to start? In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the foundations of sourdough baking in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Together, we’ll cover everything from feeding and maintaining a starter to mixing, shaping, and baking a beautiful loaf. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the process—so you can confidently recreate it at home.
This class is designed to be interactive, approachable, and fun—whether you’re brand new or have tried (and struggled with!) sourdough before.
Each participant will leave with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to begin their own sourdough journey.

About the Instructor :   Val is a sourdough educator and experience-driven instructor based in the St. Croix Valley.  What started as a personal obsession with naturally leavened bread quickly turned into a passion to teach others how approachable - and fun- sourdough can be.

Known for her warm, engaging teaching style, Val blends hands-on learning with a touch of humor and hospitality, helping students build confidence in their own kitchens. Her classes focus not just on technique, but on creating an enjoyable, memorable experience from start to finish.
When she’s not baking or teaching, you can find her developing new recipes, testing tools (especially her beloved Ankarsrum mixer), and building a community of home bakers who love great bread and good company.

Class size is limited to 10 for best experience.

Ages 13 to adult .
